As 2023 is coming to an end shortly, I'm going to go through and just randomly list off some favorites from the past year.

High speed. Minimal thoughts.

First - favorite new manga of 2023? Beat and Motion, Two on Ice, and Shojo Null. The first's about music; the second's about figure skaters; the last is set in a world of disposable cyborgs that are actuality sentient people with machines on them removing all sense of consciousness - with a sentient cyborg lead, a co-lead whose parent's were murdered for learning this truth, & good social commentary on cops.

Favorite NEW video games of 2023? Well, I only played F-Zero 99, Cassette Beasts, and Sonic Superstars which were new in 2023. All of them were great in their own way.

Probably go in order: F-Zero 99, Cassette Beasts, Sonic Superstars.

Favorite game played in 2023? That's Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The surprise for me was how much I got really into sharing more ACNH content in 2023. To the point where I started a brand new Instagram account dedicated only to sharing ACNH pics, scenes, etc.

Favorite new movie? I mean - I watched all of one - the Super Mario Bros movie. So, I guess that...?

Favorite New TV Series of 2023. I dunno. Genuinely - I watched Ghosts, Abbott Elementary, Why Women Kill, and a few other shows, but they weren't new in 2023. I just happened to start watching them in 2023.

Best non-manga I read in 2023? Well, I only really read comics - so TMNT: The Last Ronin. It was very good.

I'll add more to this later. But trying to just blurt out thoughts as I have them on favs of 2023.

- I turned 40
- Gained a new Brother-In-Law (my wife's sister got married)
- Gained a new Sister-In-Law (my brother got married)
- Started consistently going to the gym (and getting healthier)

2023 was big for me on the Fediverse. I got active on Pixelfed with @[email protected]. I started a new Sharkey (originally Firefish) account @mdmrn.

I had a KBin account, but that disappeared almost as soon as I had it when NerdBin disappeared. Then again I was never much of a Reddit guy...so Fediverse Reddit was never going to be my thing.

@earth_walker Honestly, while I have a Sharkey account, I'm not super active over there. Mastodon is my main Fediverse home with Pixelfed as my photo-heavy beach house...
