@arstechnica who would have thought "influencers" would be the first to go :)
Coomer Advertising Has Reached a New Low

@arstechnica Influencers are pretty fake anyway, so seems a natural progression.
@arstechnica "AI" can replicate style, but not substance. Obviously influencers are the easiest to replace. 😂
@arstechnica An interesting development, influencer advertisements and therefore influencers are seemingly the easiest to replace. Who knew they would become obsolete over night.
@arstechnica I'll be posting about this without the tracking tags in the url

They are also giving healthcare advice, what could possibly go wrong???
@arstechnica Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of people.
@arstechnica if a job can be automated down to a "91 percent decrease in cost per person" it's a bullshit job.

I'm willing to bet that every "virtual" influencer crashes out quickly as the character/image gets stolen by pornographers.

Ultimately the agencies will spend more on lawyers trying to "protect" their property than they spend on hiring a single person.

@arstechnica OK. But can it do real people?
@arstechnica I think "influencer" is a "job" that should not exist in the first place.
@arstechnica which non-humans are creating the AI-generated influencers? That’s so meta!
