The only company that pitched (and bothered) me on CHRISTMAS DAY this year was Arctic Wolf. Good job, fam. Stellar performance.
I lied, you’re gross and blacklisted forever
I don’t even celebrate Christmas, but it makes it look like you make your salespeople not able to celebrate with their families.

@hacks4pancakes
OpenAI decided that christmas day was the best day of the year to send out an updated privacy policy.

Also the day we discovered that they lied about having deleted the account on request months ago.

@maswan @hacks4pancakes CloudFlare also updated their privacy policy on Christmas Day!
@danielroberts @maswan @hacks4pancakes do they genuinely think that by sending these out on *Christmas Day* no one will notice? It sets alarm bells ringing instantly: “what are they trying to bury?”

@witewulf
I expect a large number of workplace users to not notice when they get back to the office in early january and just skim or delete the holiday spams.

Another option that it is unvirtue signalling, declaring themselves to be up to no good, and by having people accept this makes it more likely that they'll accept future evils.
@danielroberts @hacks4pancakes

@maswan @witewulf @hacks4pancakes I agree. They're definitely banking on the fact that lots of people are out of office, very shady practice.
@maswan @hacks4pancakes they updated it again? Because I got an email about policy changes weeks ago.
@hacks4pancakes They are a terrible company that is mostly snake oil rip-off garbage. I've had clients use them and they are useless, getting canceled after showing their true incompetence. They still haven't registered their company internal domain that is used to manage and access all customers! Just ripe for DNS attacks if someone ever registered it.

@hacks4pancakes I’m convinced there is a sales force points matrix that people are forced to chase.

That doesn’t make it right. I just can’t figure what salesy people are doing these days with the cloud stand pitching and selling and trying to get meetings with offers of gift cards and water jugs.

It’s been insane lately.
