If there is a war on Christmas, Christmas is definitely winning

@BethanyBlack I'm pleased to report from Aotearoa New Zealand that my local supermarkets have taken on board customer feedback and ditched the festive costume touches for serving staff, and have minimised the Christmas push.

Sure they sell Christmas puddings and more bottles of nonalcoholic bubbly grape juice but it's not overwhelming.

@Kay @BethanyBlack just come to Russia, we have no Christmas celebrations for a last century
@liilliil @BethanyBlack I'm queer. No way would I feel safe going to Russia. 🏳️‍🌈 😬
@Kay @BethanyBlack sure, here were lot of queers then, and first they cancelled Christmas, next they made homosexuals illegal, then they kills their colleagues, and after all Hitler came. One thing leads to another.
@BethanyBlack Nah, it's the commercialization of Christmas that's winning.
@BethanyBlack Capitalism turned Christmas into a sock puppet.
