When I was a child, my mother would sometimes make fried Post’s #ShreddedWheat, similar in method as French toast. It’s first slightly soaked in milk, and then she dipped it in egg, and finally fried it in a pan with butter. A drizzle of honey or cinnamon sugar occurs at service. See more notes in captions.

Since mom is going through chemotherapy, I thought that I’d make her this old time memory for breakfast.

@djzap …..I don’t hate this idea at all.
@djzap
Sounds yummy. Hope your mom is okay, and you are coping with helping her, it's stressful so take time for self care.
Merry Christmas

@Yuki thanks… I’ve become a pro… a there’s also my dad, who got a TAVR (heart valve replacement), pacemaker, and carotid artery surgery, plus apnea… overlapping mom’s condition.

Years ago, I also helped (practically led) caregiving) for my grandmother, too. And so on.

Hospitality is my thing, among other things.

@djzap Wow. Made with love and gratitude. These look and sound amazing. The very best of wishes for great fortitude to your Mum.
@djzap That looks good! I hope that your mother has a quick recovery. When my mother was undergoing radiation treatment, I made us cocoa topped with marshmallow fluff every afternoon - a treat straight from my childhood. She's doing fine now. Must be the fluff!
@djzap I have to try this. And the very best (and thanks) to you and your mother.
