@Reiddragon @privateger I can probably make it do software reset and presumably lose acess to my wi-fi (or create fake wifi network, connect, and then delete), but I don't have enough reason to justify that to parents except that I want to enjoy my night tea in peace and that don't I want data to be sent to manufacturer (which is not that much data anyway, it's a freaking teapod, and it's connected to my parent's email and phone app and not mine).
Also we will lose ability to boil it from Home Assistant widget (which they use to check temperature that was at night somehow, IDK if it logs or they just happened to be awake too). That is useful since kettle's hardware buttons are prone to breaking from heat and we already used it for that reason, until we brought it to shop to replace it by warranty.

@untsuki @privateger is it just me who is very freaked out by a teapot having an internet connection? Tbh that’s the moment I buy a dumb kettle
@Reiddragon @privateger At least it's super cheap, has temperature selection, and can work as normal dumb teapot unless someone connects it. But it's a step away fron causing me freak out, and some manufacturer will make that step before long.
If we had more money and place on kitchen, we could have bought dumb thermal teapot that is actually cool since it keeps water hot for a long time by itself, and also warms it when detects that it has gone cold. But for now, I microwave water from kettle if I need it at night.
