The funny thing about Hawley is that he so perfectly wears the sort of cowardice that MAGA loves to try to hang on the left.
But the flyover states are flyover for a reason. Their conservatism tends to reflect an inherent animosity to anyone who is not 'like them.'
Though, one can still hope. The last fully functioning national politician that's come from there, in my recollection, is Harry Truman.
