@Mrfunkedude I don't like #peertube at all, its main use is to spread conspiracy theories and worse. I don't see the devs adressing this at all. Maybe stop distributing holocaust denials on your own homepage at least? @peertube

An instance can ban those sort of things but that is up to the admin and whilst you might not agree about it surely it is also free speech which is a massive part of the fediverse ie no censoring or pushing content it wants you to see

There isn't even a report button next to the results list. Everybody knows that friction kills activity. Your software is the backbone of every fascists social media presence. You could make tools to make it easier to spot this dirt. Where are they?

It is a very small dev team. It is in no way shape or form the backbone of every fascists social media presence and that is hate talk right there. You should be ashamed of what you say, you are as bad as the fascists you hate so much using language like that

@Bindestriche @BillySmith @peertube @3dcandy @PeerTube_Isolation That's a point with no substance. PeerTube allows admins and users to block instances or individuals that they believe are harmful. They also keep them off of their search page.

Or is your complaint that anyone can use the software, even fascists? In which case I'd ask why you are using Mastodon when fascists also use it?

@Mrfunkedude @peertube @3dcandy @PeerTube_Isolation biulding a video software distribution platform with the explicit purpose of being hard to censor/moderate while enhancing anonymity is not the same thing as writing an email. Peertube started development after the enshitification of social media started. Even in response to it. Not treating unwanted content as an afterthought is not a big ask. Especially since the platform does not need outrage bait etc. Like commercial platforms do

Also, when do you think PeerTube started development?

And where do you get the idea that they "treating unwanted content like an afterthought" ???

It seems you either don't understand how it works or you think your unwarranted claims justify some sort of moral outrage.
