I miss blogs so much. I have notes in my files from so many that are gone now, but I still think of them fondly - and it truly was a way to connect with someone over a shared interest.

Even within that shared interest, every one had a different vibe: some were all business, talking about practical matters and how to do them, some were purely philosophical, some were a cosy mix. All were *clearly* distinct, which I think is sometimes difficult on an social media platform.

@jerod thanks for sharing, I’m always thankful to hear @neilhimself ‘s oh so very good thoughts on so many things. He’s a beacon of sanity.

Also, Neil, once you’re dressed up as Dickens, consider going outside and acting confused and asking people “What year is this?”

@jerod @neilhimself That's what the internet has always been for me, where information is open and free. It's not about money. It's not about hacking or avoiding hacking. It's there for the sake of being there. If a bit of money is earned legitimately, then good for the earner.y
