On the last leg of my journey home from #goosemas. Here it goes:

I can’t imagine anyone in attendance was disappointed because of the gag or the song choices. From the couch maybe a different story, but the vibe inside the venue was unreal.

I was really digging the theme on N1. I think it fell apart on N2 and came over as just an excuse to play a bunch of covers. #goose

N1S1 started by asking the question “earthlings or aliens” and then goes straight into bouncing between versions of songs and covers and originals. Felt like a contemplation of the question. The reflection/self reflection theme worked for me too with AIN and Tumble.

N1S2 the fire theme is a gimme for set design and cover choices. We’re let in on the set changes and format of new covers solidifies. The dichotomy continues in the encore with so/slow.

Then a day of speculation and anticipation.

N2S1 was the weakest theme wise. The set was cool and the bubble generators were fun, but the original song selections were a stretch at best. Pancakes are round, I guess? And if anyone can explain Red Bird to me I all ears.

N2S2 the jungle theme worked better I think for song selection. But then here comes Bruce to sit in. It was amazing. Not sure you could ask for a better sit in. Kind of weird it happened on a black light jungle planet though.

The weather on day 2 was spectacular. Of my crew I was the only one without VIPs of some kind and I spent the day in the GA line. Everyone on the lot was somewhere on the Autumn Crossing is happening spectrum, myself included. I really thought we were traveling on a journey to find home.
