@tzimmer_history I see this as part of what is usually mislabeled GOP hypocrisy. Instead, it’s the one-two pinch of projection and deflection. That is, if Democrats are guilty of something, then the fact that Republicans also do it can be shrugged off. (See also, presidential crime and presidential offspring crime.)

@tzimmer_history i think the right wing has figured out they can use moderates inherent conservatism and desire to “just go back to brunch" to get greater support for a fascist agenda

libs and moderate dems would rather make common cause with maga for their effectiveness at oppression than question why israel's apartheid government got unconditional support for so long
