My parents used to bring out all battery powered toys to play in the dark, that way we wouldn't get scared, I got really good memories about it.
SteveJB has moved@Andres 1965. I was 10. Most of the northeast was dark for 13 hrs. We had a gas range so all the aunts and uncles came over for coffee.
