Yoav Weiss

Some personal news, as the kids say: next year I'll be starting an *exciting* new role at Shopify, continuing to work on web performance and the web platform, but with a particular focus on commerce. I can't wait to learn more about that space and its needs, and then bring those insights back to the web platform!!

As a result, Thursday will be my last day at Google. Working as part of Chrome's web platform team was a pleasure, an honor and a privilege

But the great thing about working in the open is that changing employers doesn't mean goodbye. I'm planning to continue to be heavily involved in Chromium and web standards, and staying on as an API owner and WebPerfWG & WICG chair. (As I was before joining Google)

I may even go back to play around with WebKit. Who knows? :)

In between Thursday and the new year, I'll split my time between skiing, home improvement projects and hanging out with the family. So looking forward to that as well :D
