@tomnardi I used to do that with ebay Power Gloves for the flex sensors. Felt like a monster tearing them apart but there was no comparison in speed and price.

Sometimes the economy of scale can work out in our favor like that.

Earlier in the year, was considering buying Digispark clones to salvage the ATtiny85s from them -- cost was comparable to bare chip, and had the advantage of actually being available.

@tomnardi Crazy the times we live in. There is so much stuff out there that I feel if we just suddenly stop making it, we could make do for several decades just by scavenging.
