Bring back reasonably sized cars.
@sdw A few weeks back I did a test drive of an electric Mini Cooper and it is pretty amazing. The current model has very limited range and the next one may get up to 200 miles which is more reasonable. I feel like it should be the size of car which most people use to get around.
@brennansv @sdw I agree with the ideal of mini sized cars. In a typical 2 car family, there should be 1 "efficient" vehicle.
As for the new mini, it's made in China now, so I'd give it a miss myself.

@GazaJimbo @brennansv @sdw I know that I’m sort of cheating by living in Europe, but…

We’re a family of four and our only car is a Honda e. We’re doing fine with the combination of that and public transportation.

A Cybertruck (autocorrect suggested cyberterrorist) wouldn’t fit in any of the parking spaces here - or indeed most of the streets.

@taf in a typical Australian house, there is usually room for a couple of cars. Most newly built houses from '90s would have a 2 car garage of 6m x 6m or a little larger. 2,3 or 4 car families is not uncommon if you have driving age kids. As for the Cybertruck (auto correct suggested cyberspace & cyberpunk), we have a neighbour with a Silverado 1500, which is similar in size & just fits his garage.
We're a single Ford Fiesta car family 😊
Public transport options depends on where you live. Some places have very good public transport, some not so good.

@GazaJimbo One of my friends used to live in Summer Hill and commute to the Sydney CBD by train, another lives in Newcastle. Very different levels of public transport even though it’s the same state. Denmark is mostly fine when it comes to public transport in and between cities.

Our garage was built for the size cars had in Northern Europe in 1956. It was a squeeze back when I drove a Volvo S60. The Cybertruck wouldn’t fit in any dimension.
