You just watched every permutation of Republican obstruction: first, invoking the 2-hour rule; second, trying to deny a quorum; third, interrupting the vote with points of order; fourth, a general walk-out.

It shows how *desperately* Republicans want to prevent Americans from seeing what’s been going on between the right-wing billionaires and the gift-taking justices. It has to be really bad to trigger that barrage of procedural weapons.

@GottaLaff That's kind of the problem with law, isn't it? It means nothing if you don't enforce it against people who break it.

Sadly our legal system is so convoluted and corrupt in many ways, it's impossible. We see that illustrated in the many Trump trials.

@GottaLaff It really is a pay to play system designed for wealthy individuals to invoke all sorts of challenges and motions so they can delay justice as long as possible and reduce a sentence, if any, when it arrives.
