@tvaziri Contact -- really the book, but also the movie -- was a big part of why I became an astronomer. I didn't know they covered this and now I'll have to go listen!

@tvaziri I remember teenage me loving this movie, including the suspenseful ending (slow, dot matrix printing!) and the final twist.

After hearing a recent Reconcilable Differences discussion about it I'm afraid to watch it again and ruin it for myself.
