The washington post is doing nothing but laundering right wing bullshit for the average reader; the "institution of marriage" serves no function in society except to be the base for a whole lot of christofascist bullshit. their suggestion of "compromising" is quite literally calling for some percentage of women to bound to a fascist for life for the good of.. giving fascists women? it really falls apart without the veneer
