This is my Thanksgiving story.

I had to back go to the grocery store on Wednesday because I bought the wrong kind of garlic cloves. So I got in line at the service counter to make a return. Behind me was a woman whose cart was full of pineapples and nothing but pineapples. She was irate. 1/

@marcheiden
That gave me a good laugh.

However, I'm still curious about your *wrong* kind of garlic.

@gowin @marcheiden I'm intrigued by this too!
@gowin @marcheiden Apparently my uncle was sent out to buy aluminum foil once and returned with one that wasn't suitable for use with food, so I know these things can happen!
@seanddotmedotuk @gowin @marcheiden When I was first married I had written garlic cloves on the shopping list. My husband brought home cloves. Then did it again about a month later. We had lots of cloves for a while. I learned to write garlic only on the shopping list.
@grommiegirl @gowin @marcheiden Did you try writing "garlic bulbs" to see what would happen?
@seanddotmedotuk @gowin @marcheiden l would most likely get a garden bulb lol. I had to have a long talk to explain before we got it right. Now he’s an old hand at my shopping list. Plus I make him read it to me before he leaves to address any questions he might have πŸ˜‚
@seanddotmedotuk @gowin @billyjoebowers Ha! I had bought three jars of peeled garlic cloves when I was supposed to buy three fresh garlic cloves from the produce section, that’s all.

@marcheiden

hmm ... i would've thought that would have been the same, and in case you couldn't finish the fresh garlic cloves immediately, the bottled ones would've kept longer --- but I'm not really a cook. 😁

in the old house, what we'd do is buy fresh garlic cloves (especially when they're in season, and cheaper) , peel them, and jar them in oil.

@seanddotmedotuk @billyjoebowers

@gowin @marcheiden @billyjoebowers We eat so much garlic, it gets eaten before it goes off!
