Any of my American colleagues that have tried #Claude 2.1? No access in EU, but supposedly it outperforms #ChatGPT when it comes to academic writing. @debivort @Pool_Lab @schoppik
@MarcusStensmyr @Pool_Lab @schoppik No experience with it. I am still quite reluctant to get AI help with my writing.
@debivort Well, not to write things from scratch, but to e.g. edit stuff for clarity chatGPT is great.
@MarcusStensmyr Maybe I'll get there at some point...

Writing and rewriting is such a pleasure. I can't get into the idea of delegating such a task to a computer. That said, I've heard from a number of non-native English speakers who use ChatGPT to polish their text. If that helps them then write better, so be it, yet my expectation is that they'll delegate more and more, writing more crudely than before and expecting ChatGPT to make up the difference.

@albertcardona @debivort I also love writing, but as a non-native English speaker these tools are a godsend!

@MarcusStensmyr @debivort

In find that when my writing is less than stellar, it serves a second purpose as punishment for native speakers for failing to organise their language under a more structured and phonetic system 🤪 free of cultural influences – ever tried to decode what "it's fine" means?

I understand that #Lojban / #Loglan [1] is a tall order, but come on.
