Sexual and gender minority college students of color are a multiply marginalized population. New research examining the impacts of identity-related stressors on these young people’s mental health suggests that, when compared with LGBTQ-related stressors, racist microaggressions from white LGBTQ people can be even more strongly associated with psychological distress.
