I have a big request for everyone on #Mastodon who publishes #photos from the internet - tag the authors!

If the #photo is not signed, use a search engine to find the author. This is the minimum respect you should show photographers when publishing their work.

I'd appreciate boost to spread the word. Thanks!

Yes, receiving consent would be better.

But the WWW was built on the premise of not having to receive permissions before setting a link.

Plus, there are exempts for quoting arts of others (requires some level of commentary).
