Now that I’m home from vacation, it hit me once again that #Phish released 11/14/97 instead of 11/13, 11/19!!!, 11/26, 11/28 (the 128K SBD leak could use an upgrade), 11/29, 11/30, 12/2!!!, 12/3!!, 12/12, 12/13, or 12/31.
I get that 11/14 is somewhat under the radar and maybe that’s why they chose it. But there is a damn good reason why it’s not talked about much — because it’s not nearly as good as most of the rest of the tour.
@chopaganda you are 100% right, but as they say, fall 97’s bar is impossibly high. I’ve really been enjoying spinning 11/14 since it’s release, the show just goes down so easy…like a solid bourbon. Also the Twist is truly an elite jam, IMO, for my tastes.
I’m thinking we don’t get any Philly 97 until they do a 2-show box a la Gorge 98, sadly - so likely in about 10-15 years. Ironically those 2 shows are probably in the most need of a sound upgrade.
