Matt BlazeI'm not especially interested in the recent/ongoing AI company drama, but I find it hard to imagine that MS could make such a quick decision and close the deal on a major hire like this if things hadn't already been in the works for a while.
Steve's Place@mattblaze That may be, but if you were trying to launch rockets and doing it badly, if Werner Von Braun knocked on your door, looking for a job, it would be a no-brainer. Microsoft was far behind in the race to catch the AI cash cow. Now they're not so far behind. Maybe they colluded. I'm not so sure.
