Um no. Not of those want trans rights promoted and respected . Women's sports bodies make their own qualification rules and most politicians are CIS, who get to decide what equality and hate crime legislation and therefore legal rights should look like.

Respect by CIS for trans issues won't be achieved by treating those whom you need on your side as having "worthless opinions", concerning what constitutes reasonable adjustments in order to achieve fairness, respect and non discrimination.

@copsewood I think OP's point wasn't that cis people in general have worthless opinions, only that their opinions on trans people don't tend to be worth much good.

Historically and recently, those opinions have been used as justifications to oppress, which I hope we can agree is NOT conducive to fairness, respect, or non-discrimination. Trans people aren't on equal footing with cis people here, so to respect a cis person's opinion over a trans person on how trans ppl should be treated is silly.
