#Auspol would be better off scrapping #MutualObligations altogether. Its very practice keeps people out of the workforce and entrenched in poverty.

Having to apply for multiple jobs often requires applying for multiple positions.

#HumanResources 101 is to dismiss your application immediately. They see you as "wishy-washy", not a committed employee prospect.

The fact you may be desperate and willing to work means nothing. You now have zero chance of working there.

Centrelink urged to suspend mutual obligations during periods of extreme heat

Federal MPs including Amanda Rishworth asked to consider halt to the obligations during heatwaves

The Guardian

@wakehamAMR It angers me that the willingness of employers to employ people is never included in the equation. It's always the job seeker's "fault" that they don't have a job.

Meanwhile, employers are using every means possible to employ fewer and fewer people.

Example: cafes where no-one appears to greet you and take your order. You order from an online menu even though you're physically seated in the cafe. Just add robotics delivering your meal to your table and there are no more jobs waiting at tables.
