@jpletzfeld Lovely group pic!
@Lojie They loved to get together. I've never seen cats like that before.

@jpletzfeld Once they are spayed or neutered, colony cats show very social behaviour,
as colony caretakers say.

And sometimes they just get along, even if they didnt know each other before.

@Lojie You are right. We see this at the shelter. I also see this with the strays I feed. Still I haven't seen them sitting around as a bunch like those did.

@jpletzfeld There is a rescue group in Canada that monitors their cat colonies with cams.
Their clips are changing the narrative of feral cats!

"..shows the staggering difference neutering a cat can make - you will see all 4 dominant males having positive interactions with each other. Just a few months ago, these boys had gaping wounds .. from constant fighting.
The property owner said it's like a completely different barn with everyone getting along."

This is why we return feral cats.

@Lojie The strays I feed are neutered and they behave like a family. Since two weeks we have an intact male as "guest" and he is mixing eveything up 🙄
@jpletzfeld 👍 Thanks for feeding your local stray cats!

@Lojie With time you will see them here too. Promised!
