The intent of my posts is not to find people to adopt these pets. This German shelter only accepts local adoptions and has a very good placement rate. My intention is to raise awareness of all the beautiful pets in shelters out there waiting for you to be their hero. Go to your local shelter to find your new pet. Adopt! Don't shop!

When Stella was four months old, we took her and three other puppies in from an animal welfare organization we work with, to find them new homes. They were all originally from Romania. Stella was the shyest of the four. It took a while for her to gain confidence in us humans. We were sure that Stella would be the last to find a new home. To our surprise, however, she was actually the second to be adopted. Who could resist a look like that for long!?
