@lotto when are you guys gonna get it? Its never been about security. Apple's entire thing is marketing and targeting towards people who desire to advance in social classes.
Blue bubbles are literally just another marketing tactic to pressure people into buying into Apple's shitty ecosystem.

@ioletsgo @lotto it's not really about the colour, its about how SMS is a bad protocol that leads to lo quality image sending and weird glitches, that's why iPhone users don't like SMS, but if that doesn't happen with RCS then people won't care anymore (hopefully) security aside

@10volt @lotto I think you're kinda flooded with a lot of cybersecurity reasoning, it doesn't matter because RCS messages won't be blue.
Its still built on the idea of exclusionary and ridicule to the point where someone does buy into apple's ecosystem.

@ioletsgo @lotto the main thing is iPhone users complain when the messages don't send properly when the bubbles are green, and the images are low quality, that's why they prefer blue bubbles that don't have this issue, that's also why WhatsApp is so popular, it has nothing to do with security its just that it works without issues or glitches, this update will fix that, so, that's the problem fixed, they don't care as long as the messages work properly

Apple markets themselves as an exclusionary group, Macs are "The Professional's Choice", and iPhones are basically the Name Brand smartphones, people like flexing the fact that they have new iphones like its a Vlone shirt/hoodie.
