@RayMust Actually the place I was having lunch was Las Palmeras in Corvera. Good home cooking.
The restauranteur dining there is from "another restaurant very nearby" which is very upwardly mobile. So much so that he's arranged tables all along the bar to discourage customers from stopping by for a quick caña. I knew his grandad who started the restaurant (bar) many, many years ago - he wouldn't recognise it today.
