#LyndamGregory's reading of #SalmanRushdie's "Midnight's Children" (https://www.audible.com/pd/Midnights-Children-Audiobook/B002V0RAL4) is fascinating to me. How can he perfectly capture the cadence and accent of an aged crotchety shikara driver without knowing how to pronounce "Jahangir"? Or is this a Kashmiri accent I'm not aware of?

@sarahf Haha! I've actually been here since 2017 (https://scholar.social/@gaurav), but I didn't properly start using Mastodon until (1) the Elon-ing happened, and (2) I discovered @phanpy as a Mastodon client that made sense to me. Now I love it here! I wish I'd known you were here too!
