If you want to detour inland there's a good bakery in Wycheproof, but that'd be more of a lunch thing and not helpful for breakfast.

There's an extremely small mountain there as well though!

@leadegroot Cheeky Chewies in Laverton is right by the freeway ramp and is always open - it's my "it's a public holiday and I need a coffee" solution. 😁

Pretty reliably decent for a toastie and coffee!

Also if you're coming up from the Geelong side and want a good full brekkie or something fancier to take away you can take that same Point Cook Rd exit, go up to Favour and Grace up near Laverton station, then get back on the freeway at the very next ramp without turning around. 😁

@mike dammit, we’ve just passed Laverton and as we are in traffic, himself is unwilling to do anything but Go Forward :(
We’ll get food eventually :)
