The Texas Observer
@TexasObserver @josephinelee That sure is a long string of insecure adults who feel threatened by a kid.
@Linza @TexasObserver @josephinelee From what I remember of being a kid...that's pretty much all adults everywhere.

@TexasObserver @josephinelee

Appalling behaviour from the adults (except Timothy's mum).

Reading between the lines, Garza did a less than stellar job in her last appointment and now she's vindictively jealous of Timothy, who will go on to do far greater things than her.

No-one who does this to a child should be allowed anywhere near schools.

@TexasObserver @josephinelee If Texas and Florida walked into a bar, they'd instantly get into an all out brawl about who can do the most inhumane things imaginable to the most people and the most vulnerable at that. It would certainly devolve into gunfire and the winner would smugly declare themselves the epitome of good, all-American values. I'm sorry, but you guys lost me way before you decided to put razor wire underwater to exact the most injury. This story is no surprise to me.
@TexasObserver @josephinelee
No lunch? (I cherry picked that) How do these people still have jobs. What about the cop that turned off his body cam? I can only guess that button is probably worn out from all of the other sh*t he does.
“She would tell me, ‘Where’s your uniform? Otherwise, we’re going to kick you out of the ACE [afterschool] program, revoke your library privileges, revoke your lunch privileges.’”
@TexasObserver @josephinelee
Texas is turning into a fucking banana republic!
@TexasObserver @josephinelee Excellent reporting. Thank you for working on this, Josephine!
@TexasObserver @josephinelee this family needs to sue
@LaureM @TexasObserver @josephinelee
No, the school board needs to admit what it did was wrong, not waste taxpayers money on a court case.
