@britishtechguru @charlotteclymer While it's a common joke to accuse homophobes and transphobes of being closeted queer people, it can also be a little distasteful too, as if to suggest that homophobia and transphobia are entirely the fault of the LGBT community. I for one am not particularly eager to embrace DeSantis as a member of the trans community, thanks.
Most trans women of my acquaintance don't want to appear taller, and if they do wear heels it is to emphasize their legs. Meanwhile, many short men have tried to increase their height (or perceived height) in order to appear more masculine—i.e. to affirm their gender. I don't see any particular connection between wearing lifts and being trans. Perhaps you are thinking of crossdressing doms?
It is well established that sexuality does not exist as a series of fixed points. Gender has apparent fixed points but really does not. For those that would deny that statement I would suggest reading up on hermaphrodism.
It is entertaining to insult somebody with ridiculous views such as De Santis by calling him that which he hates.
The thought of catching De Santis out in such a lie is too delicious to resist. I hope images surface of him crossdressing.
@charlotteclymer @scottjshapiro What it comes down to is that DeSantis is a fraud - in little things as in large things.
Dishonesty about something as trivial as his height suggests a willingness to be dishonest about... well, pretty much anything.
I should think we were all well sick and tired of patent phonies, after four years of Donald F. Trump.
Some cis guys have gone so far as to have surgical limb-lengthening procedures to gain a couple of inches of height.
His gender: Precarious man!
