It's almost time!!!
Spooky Apple Event...
THEY ARE ALREADY DOING M3??!?!?!
I just got an M2 THIS YEAR
AND IT WAS BRAND NEW
Ray Tracing support on M3
40 Core GPU on m3 Max wtf
Macbooks = I sleep
Supports 128GB of memory but no one will ever be able to get one with that spec because you charge 200$ for each 8gb

@oshy which is absurd and why I won't buy any Apple Hardware:

RAM & SSDs - like Keyboards and Batteries - will inevitably fail over time and thus should be replaceable, upgradeable and repairable economically.

@kkarhan SSDs not being upgradable is a "whole cares" moment because you can just plug in a thunderbolt external drive

Non-upgradable Ram is a lot more of an issue.
I got the 16gb M2 mini for that reason

@oshy both are shit because RAM and SSDs inevitably die over use and time.

Espechally SSDs do with every bit written!!!

And no, since #Apple had the #GalaxyBrainCahir idea to also put the #AEFI (Apple-#EFI & #BridgeOS) on the EXACT SAME FLASH CHIPS) any "#AppleSilicon" / #ARM / #ARM64 #Mac that has it's #SSD die is also #braindead.

Apple's soldered-in SSDs are engineered in the worst way possible

@oshy
Coupled with the fact that Apple's devices tend to suicide when the Voltage Regulator shoves 12V on a 2,7V rail and your NAND is fucked beyond recovery, amd you get devices that are purposefully unrepairable...

How most 16" Macbook Pros often kill themselves & why they're unfixable

YouTube
@kkarhan I'm not really worried I bought the 30$ insurance lmao

@oshy That doesn't cover jack shite unless #Apple gets sued into covering it as per #ClassAction...

And even then you should have a working and repairable device regardless of what support plan you boight - INCLUDING NONE!
