It’s outrageous that people are being fired just for calling for a ceasefire. Speaking up to end the violence is what every single decent human being should be doing. Instead, people are being punished for advocating for fundamental human rights.

@luckytran it’s scary how unable to handle nuance we’ve all become.

It shouldn’t be *risky* to say something like innocent civilians, on both sides, shouldn’t be killed. The entire situation is extremely complex and fraught with trip-wire conversation pieces, but preserving the lives of the innocent shouldn’t be one of those pieces. That should simply be the expectation.

How do you figure that it's anybody's business what Israel does to protect itself and make sure Hamas never darkens their door again? The people of Gaza have a part in what happened on Oct 7th. They are not innocent human beings. How in the hell do you build hundreds and probably thousands of rockets and tunnels under Gaza without the residents participating or knowing?

I'm glad we didn't cry for the Germans when Hitler was attacked!
