It’s outrageous that people are being fired just for calling for a ceasefire. Speaking up to end the violence is what every single decent human being should be doing. Instead, people are being punished for advocating for fundamental human rights.

It shouldn’t be *risky* to say something like innocent civilians, on both sides, shouldn’t be killed. The entire situation is extremely complex and fraught with trip-wire conversation pieces, but preserving the lives of the innocent shouldn’t be one of those pieces. That should simply be the expectation.
