I don't think I should have to say this, but apparently I do:

#AntiSemitism is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗸.

I stand with #Palestine, but I am 100% against #AntiSemitism, it is not one or the other. It needs to be both.

The nuance to this is that criticism of Israel's government and military actions is not antisemitism. Tough conversations about hard topics are not antisemitism.

But people can be critical, and people can discuss, without being trash.

Do not be trash. #BeBetter.

@nesi

I'm going to assume you're being sincere. If you are sincere, then would you be interested in a Jew explaining to you the various antisemitic sentiments your posts have had in the recent past?

@serge @nesi

yes and with the same assumption of sincerity, i’d be happy to provide a jewish perspective that likely disagrees with serge’s.

@geekwonk @serge This is the exact reason I try to avoid these kinds of interactions with strangers on the internet: For 100 people, I will find 100 opinions.

I always appreciate people's willingness to educate, but the nuanced nature of thousands of years of history is not going to magically be approximated to a significant degree of accuracy in a few toots. Plus, the bias in most people's opinions (including mine) will always be there.

@nesi @serge yeah my only desire is to point out that jews who pretend to speak for all of us are full of shit and only speak for themselves. nobody needs the blessing of some self appointed pope of the jews. that’s not how it works.
such a bummer, serge blocks fellow jews who don’t agree with his perspective. what an odd way of spreading the light.
