Here's a thread with more info and the source files :3

So anyway, this is what I skipped two lectures hyperfocusing on :neofox_up_paws: #SCP 📎

@lunareclipse Made with your new label printer? Awesome
@lunareclipse ooh, good choice of a laptop btw
@Pixdigit thanks!
I was also considering a thinkpad but the versions of those without unnecessary and expensive extras never have a good screen which was one of my main priorities.
The IPS on this, while not having the most even backlight (a few brighter spots), has very good colors. Also has a 2x larger battery than comparable thinkpads.
So overall I'm very happy with this tuxedo, the keyboard feels very nice and the Linux support is great (with the one nitpick that the touchpad status LED driver requires you to use one of the major DEs). The cooling is also good which is refreshing, coming from a thinkpad x220 which would overheat a lot.
@lunareclipse I'll take 10 of those, thanks 😁

@lunareclipse noice...

This some 1U Server or some smol desktop?

@kkarhan @lunareclipse
It's a Tuxedo Laptop

@AlanyG21 @lunareclipse noice!

Personally I wished to get some high-quality scan/photo of those DoD / Bw Inventory tags...

Ideally for some actual device uses behinde "green doors" aka. inside a SCIF...

And than make some reproductions to scare the hell out of laptop thieves... ^^

@kkarhan @lunareclipse
That inventory tag is based/inspired in SCP Foundation
And Luna did share the high-quality image of it

@AlanyG21 @lunareclipse I know, and the #SCP stuff is cool...

I just really want to copy one of thise military asset tags.

Was never allowed to photograph them or even have a camera on me when I saw those...

@kkarhan @AlanyG21 @lunareclipse I think I saw this about 6-9 months ago and also jumped at the chance!
@davidoclubb @AlanyG21 @lunareclipse I mean it does look cool...
@kkarhan @AlanyG21 @lunareclipse now all I have to do is create the malicious killer program 🤔
@lunareclipse need to resist buying a label printer just for this ;-;

@lunareclipse
So, for an SCP infected Computer with a malicious PROGRAM, you direct an unfamiliar user to use a QR CODE, which you have to scan using an external unsecured device, to return the device? lol, typical SCP!

Also, the 'Improper use of this machine may endanger your life' will get your laptop destroyed by Airport and Campus security. They won't know what it is.

@Madagascar_Sky in what situations would campus security ever inspect my laptop? /gen
@lunareclipse
I should have been more clear. In case the laptop is found, without you attached to it to explain the joke, they would consider the warning seriously and take 'precautions'.
@Madagascar_Sky
ah fuck I have not thought about that

might want to make it less threatening then
@lunareclipse
I once sent a 'threatening' postcard to my friend, with BIG letters saying this is a joke. He never got it although others sent along did.
@Madagascar_Sky
Well, the large label is supposed to be removable, paid 2x more for that paper than I would have for a standard permanent roll, so I guess I already have the opportunity to put that feature to the test.
@lunareclipse Where do I get this to print it out
Luna :neofox_snug: :therian: (@lunareclipse)

For reference, the dimensions are precisely matched so that you can print the main label on brother label printers that take 62mm DK-XXXX tape, and then the size of the fields for small labels will be perfectly filled by 29mm DK-XXXX labels.

Snugly Moe Moe
@lunareclipse Btw, what did you use to generate the AISD and vCard?
@error Zint Barcode Studio (I have written the actual data manually (yes including the VCard (yes I have just sat there reading RFC6350)))

I should have sent you the tail of the thread, it has everything
https://snug.moe/notes/9lak3xcvw1aht1rg
Luna :neofox_snug: :therian: (@lunareclipse)

I ended up using VCard 4.0 as the data format because MECARD was technically recognized by my QR code reader but didn't work for actually creating a contact from, while VCard did. Anyway, here's the finished result :3 https://snug.moe/notes/9lajpl1jgh14gooi
