@ret @tryst I’m a very old hand, I guess then. First licenced as 2E1EJB in, I think ‘96 ish, and M1AJB in 1998, I think. Ham licence before car licence!
@bloor @ret M3 in 2004. M0 in 2016 I think. Between 2006 and 2014 I was designing and building prototypes of EW transceivers. What I don't know about DDSs isn't worth knowing, but I'll still get shouted down by the G-squad for suggesting that they might be mistaken about how a phase accumulator works.

I have never and still don’t have any issues with people younger/newer than me knowing more about stuff than I do, largely because I have a good understanding of my own limitations and am professional and friendly enough to want to learn from others.
Not all G-call holders are nobs.
