NPR’s data shows that they lost nothing after being ostracized by the psychotic white billionaire. It counters the idea that leaving Twitter is a loss. Let’s dismiss the idea that we need to be held hostage on any platform.
Danielle Foré@markwyner I wish that I could say the same! For smaller businesses like ours I’m afraid it hurt quite a bit. Nothing is worth our integrity, but it would be nice if capitalism was less hostile towards integrity 😅
@danirabbit 100%. I guess my declaration is laced with the bias of privilege. For some folks it’s harder than others. Thanks for making a good point.

What I do know is that I have a job because of Mastodon. The folks here heavily boosted my post seeking work. And my now boss connected with me because of it. So there’s lots of potential here.
