Why Democrats oppose certain Republicans: They blocked probes into a violent insurrection. They stop sane gun laws most want. They oppose women's right to choose what's right for themselves. They denied COVID was a threat & lie about safe COVID vaccines.
Why Republicans oppose certain Democrats: They want to save the planet. They think women & men deserve equal rights. They believe people of all races deserve equal protection. They want the wealthy to pay their fair share to reduce the deficit.
"Narrative" is not, in fact, a meaningful word in this context.
The Democrats are clearly far, far better than the deranged Republicans. That doesn't make the Democrats good in any way.
Imagine you are playing a game where if D comes up, you lose 3 points, and if R comes up, you lose 25 points. Clearly D is much better - but you cannot win this game.
I cried, with relief, when Obama was elected.

Within five days the drone attacks started, and the Pentagon noted Obama's very active role in the decision. Then he protected the banksters, while leaving mortgage holders twisting in the wind.

But the worst for me was Obama's intense support of fossil fuels and fracking.

By the time he left office, the USA was the largest producer of oil in the entire world.
Obama was our last chance, squandered. I gave up on America after thirty years and left.

@augieray @infodriveway While it is factually false that the two parties are the same, this attitude is the product of the complete despair that Americans feel when confronted with two pro-war, pro-fossil fuel, pro-banking, anti-socialized medicine, pro-capitalism parties.
Things have gotten steadily worse for the poorest 50% of Americans in the last 50 years, and yet they see their leaders become wildly rich through "public service".
No wonder people talk shit.
