I've lived long enough to see a post calling the USB port download/upload of music to a music player as "the old fashion way". Which is a really truly stupid statement altogether. I remember back in college, the first mp3 appeared the year I got into school. Before that, music files were just these big ass wav files that killed your hard drive space. But then within like the first two years in college one went from having cassettes and CDs to digital music on mp3s on CDs and then the MP3 player

When the #mp3 showed up you could hardly find music on that format. I used to play my cassettes on to a speaker glued to a tube onto a microphone so I could record the music into mp3s and then share them on #kazaa and #ICQ

That was true freedom. You could play the music and no asshole #music #mpaa #evilfuck up in their pile of cash needed to know anything.

Le Sigh...

I don't understand how to RE-disrupt all that but I am game to try. Do the laws just scare people that much?

Is it a matter of teaching the relative actual RISK of giving the finger to an actual stupid law(s)?

It takes about 0.1% of the bro-energy as taking on the #cops as a #sovcit.

Boot up #tails, get out your #tor onion... and your #vpn's

If you find out WHERE the index is for all the shit that is definitely out there, share widely!

I remember being more scared of being prosecuted for worshiping might #satan back in the 80's

@werefreeatlast

Er, don't share widely.

See, that's the whole problem!

It's like trying to figure out where all the cool kids go to smoke during lunchtime.

Just a theory, but it's out there and hard to find because #cops. and #narcs and #ip and #copywrite brown shirts and other dumb human-invented shit.

So dumb.

Here's a slogan:

"intellectual property is numbers"

Because, literally. ISO image...? An actual, but huge number!

Psst... I heard that you know where I can get a 68...
