@mocelet @gamingonlinux any distro will fare well for gaming. There are a few specific distros that specialize in gaming like Garuda Linux and Pop!_OS. Garuda is arch based so I'd recommend you don't use it as a first. Pop!_OS is easier to use for a beginner/ intermediate user but the latest release is a little bit outdated since the team behind Pop!_OS is working on their own, built from scratch, desktop environment.
TL;DR You can't really go wrong with any of the most popular distros. (1/2)
