I'm going to repeat something I said a few weeks ago.

I notice that when I post good news, people apparently feel compelled to find the negative in it (even about pics of my dog!).

Can we just appreciate good news for once? Is that really too much to ask?

FFS people, you complain constantly about everything (rightfully!), so when we get news that something worked, accept it and try to appreciate it.

Kthxbye.

@GottaLaff One of the unfortunate things about social media is that most people may really appreciate something, but the replies to a post tend to trend negative, except for cat pictures. This gives an overall impression of negativity, whereas the truth is that almost all of us really like your dog! ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿ‘
@GottaLaff But kidding about cats and dogs aside, this is actually an issue that drives to the heart of who we are as a community. You don't need a substantive reason to respond to a post. Posters here are people just like you and they are kind of hanging it out there when they share something. If you are simply informed or humored, just let them know. People like @GottaLaff don't do this for any compensation other than your appreciation. It's friendly and cool to simply say thank you.
