Good day all! Yes, I'm still alive. My dad celebrated his 80th birthday last weekend, and over the past few weeks, a few final things had to be sorted out regarding my early retirement. But now all the paperwork seems to be done, and I can enjoy a much more relaxed life hopefully. Despite my illness, which lead to my early retirement, having kicked in in full force almost three years ago, the stress of the temporary monetary situation, all the paperwork that had to be done, etc., made a recovery difficult thus far. I am on the mend, but much slower than if it might have been if I hadn't had to deal with all this stuff. But one thing is for sure, I won't be returning to any kind of regular employment anytime soon, if ever. And that's totally OK. I've made my contributions to the accessibility world in my professional career, and now let the younger generation handle things going forward.
@Marco Nice to see you again. Glad that things are slowly improving.
@Marco Enjoy your retirement, and I hope that your recovery speeds up and you feel better real soon.
@Lynessence Thank you so much! 🤗
@Marco Congratulations on your retirement.
@Marco I'm glad to know you're okay.
@Marco So good to hear from you! I'm glad things are on the upswing. I retired and gone back to work on a few things, but I get so much more from the work because it's on my terms. It makes you realize how much corporate work is broken ... and damaging. I hope you have lots of fun, doing as you please!
@sbourne Yes, that is exactly right, being able to choose what I like to do on my terms feels so much better. Not that I have done anything yet, but knowing that I can, or needn't, because everything is secure, feels darn good.
