Does anyone know, what the Government Messaging is around this transition? Have they spent money on promoting EVs. Has there been an educational journey they have taken citizens on the persuade them to buy EVs or has this been achieved through other means?

Ehem! ABBA are _Swedish_.

Also, since that article was published, many (but not all) advantages have been reduced and a few removed. Taxation increased as of 1.1.2023, which lead to a huge buying spree for EV's in 2022 and now has resulted in a naturally very slow market with EV's on sale and certain brands struggling to sell their inventory.
