Relatable or do I just have filthy friends?
HuniePop is extremely popular, even with straight women. I get what you're saying that people should admit being horny but also sometimes it is actually the game play.
For the record I loved HuniePop. But the gameplay wasn't enough to get me through HuniePop 2.
I didn't get to the boss. When the game started giving me debuffs for talking to these women (which is like, half the point of the game) I noped out. How am I supposed to answer their questions for maximum points to prove I like them if talking to them makes the game more difficult? Look up a walkthrough? If I wanted to look up gameplay somebody else did, I may as well watch someone else play it, and if I'm doing that then why bother playing at all?
Fuck that. Bring back the ridiculous "Hey, just curious, what did I tell you my cup size was four days ago?" quizzing! That's such a hallmark of these games! Getting to know her isn't supposed to make it more difficult to get in her pants!
I think the writer of the game didn't realize that a lot of the players were women, too, because some of those debuffs were fucking idiotic. The porn star gets a "Busted Vag" debuff? What kind of unrealistic incel garbage is that? That is not how women work.
That one wasn't what made me quit playing but it's the one I remember most. If I was going to punish the player for talking to a girl (big NO on that) I would at least choose better debuffs (you have the same name as my dead father, xXPussySlayerXx, so I get sad when I say your name - boom! Don't Say My Name debuff).
This is not a thing I’ve ever heard in my lifetime online.
That said; it is wiser to go invisible. I wouldn’t call it inconsiderate unless/until you’ve discussed that with your friend.
I guess it just depends on the relation between friends as to whether you should care or not if you’re seen playing a Hentai Game.
For some people; especially people who might be public figures; yes, that would be massively questionable. For other people who only ever steam friend their buddies who also share similar game interests and tastes…it might not be such a huge deal.
That said it probably is a conversation one might have with that friend; especially if it bothers you.
However, I do think there are certain times I believe that Steam should just by default exclude sharing what you are playing with friends.
If you read the above comments, we’re talking about blocking specific games. Your low score is not hivemind, you just missed the context of the thread .
Steam is all or nothing, and if you block everything, some games won’t allow you to invite friends or join games, and it’s not just a switch to flip to turn back on for multiplayer. You have to go through several menus to change your settings. We’ve been asking for the ability to block specific games or just turn off participation in the feed for ages.
Also unlike Reddit, your points aren’t tracked and mean nothing here ,so there’s no point in worrying about downvotes.
it’s a lot more like this tbh
