This tool lets me monitor the #ActivityPub federation traffic from/to my Mastodon instance metalhead.club.

You can clearly see the other server locations - mainly in the US and Europe.

The tool is not ready for the public, but once it's finished and stable, I'll let you know :)

@thomas That is cool! (Pinging the metalhead servers from Australia. 😎)
@thomas Finally Network Traffic Monitoring looks like it does in Movies! ❤️
@thomas
wow. it remembers me the marvel (at the beginning) of tweetping.net

@thomas this is awesome.

I’d love such a thing for my single instance pleroma

@thomas watching my butt porn spread around the globe in real time is a dream I’ve had since I was a grub
@thomas oh no, a fediverse pew pew map
@thomas whoaa that's cool 👀
@thomas I did something similar but far less fancy-looking (no 3D for starters) years back to visualize submissions at a startup I worked at. I love visualizations like this.
@milan Bevor ich sah, dass du das geteilt hast, wollte ich es dir schicken. Das gehört auf ein 60“ Monitor! Im Hauptquartier! 😀
@thomas

Moin, sieht ja fast aus wie
#sicherheitstacho .eu 😉
@thomas Is that in real time? Regardless, it looks amazing.
@thomas Intrigued by your idea, I have now installed an extension in my Grafana dashboard that can measure traffic from my server in general. Of course not as nice as your solution, but thanks for the thought tip.
