#WritersCoffeeClub What do people say when I tell them I write? I mostly talk about it with close friends and family, or other writers. For the most part they're supportive and willing to engage me in conversation. It's helped me to hone in on what I want my writing to be, and what I don't want it to be. I don't remember directly experiencing much of what others have been talking about today, but I have overheard people talking about how the hardest part of writing a book is finding the time.

@Saposcat

I apppreciate you Walter! And I appreciate your toot! I guess it's just a little too much to expect a response from Joe Public. Personally, I met my writing/publishing goals a long time ago, Don't worry, I wasn't overly ambitious. And, if the truth is to be told, I'm a better critic than a writer - and I don't want to be that type of person.... (Okay....I gotta break up this overly long reply, lol)

@DarkenedChasm thank you and congratulations on the achievements. I try to keep realistic ambitions: write the stories that interest me and see if anyone wants to read them. Not much beyond that.

@Saposcat

Almost like children in a sense. Once the writing is done...They go their own way! 😂

@DarkenedChasm absolutely. I think I said something about that in an older post. I'm doing my best to prepare them for the adventures they'll face on their own.

@Saposcat

Bahahaha. That is absolutely one of the best ways to think about it!!

And then the adventures had adventures. And their adventures had adventures. The legacy is mind-boggling!

@DarkenedChasm yeah it's definitely better for me than thinking about sales rankings or something.
